“Free crypto sign-up bonus, no deposit required, instant withdraw” is one of the most searched phrases in this niche, and one of the least honest. After reading the terms of every program we review, here is the plain answer: a few platforms do give new users something without a deposit, but it is always small, always conditional, and never cash you can withdraw the same day. The table at the top shows the programs that meet our strict no-deposit rule. It is short on purpose.
This page explains why genuine no-deposit rewards are so rare, what the few real ones are worth, which “instant withdraw” claims do not survive a look at the terms, and which low-cost alternatives actually put withdrawable crypto in your account.
Why real no-deposit crypto bonuses are so rare
A crypto exchange pays a welcome bonus because it expects you to trade and pay fees. If it paid withdrawable money just for opening an account, people would open thousands of accounts and drain it. Every real program closes that gap in one of three ways:
- It asks for identity verification, so each person can claim only once. Binance’s first welcome task is KYCKnow Your Customer: identity verification with a government ID and usually a selfie. It stops one person from claiming a bonus many times. and nothing else.
- It asks for a deposit or trading volume, so the reward is paid out of fees you generate. This is the norm.
- It pays in a form that cannot leave the platform, such as a futures bonus, a fee voucher, a gas credit or loyalty points.
The rewards that need no deposit always use the first or third method, often both. That is why we tag a program “no-deposit” only when some reward is claimable without depositing anything at all, and why we say clearly what form that reward takes.
The rewards that truly need no deposit
| Program | No-deposit reward | What it takes | Withdrawable? |
|---|---|---|---|
| KCEX | 20 USDT futures bonus | Sign up, complete account info | No, expires in 7 days |
| Margex | $50 bonus balance | Register and claim in Promo Code Storage | No, reimburses fees |
| Binance | $20 fee voucher | Full identity verification | No, Spot fees only |
| Bitget Wallet | Up to 5 GASU | Create a wallet with a code | No, gas credit |
| MetaMask | Campaign points | Opt in to Rewards with a code | No, points |
KCEX is the one program in our reviews tagged no-deposit. Its New User Rewards list pays 10 USDT in futures bonus for signing up and another 10 USDT for completing account information, before any deposit. KCEX’s FAQ says rewards are released once conditions such as KYC and phone and email binding are met. The bonus cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and it expires after 7 days. Profits made with it can be withdrawn, but with 20 USDT of bonus margin and no money of your own, those profits will be tiny or nonexistent.
Margex lets you claim a $50 sign-up bonus without depositing. It sits in a separate bonus balance and reimburses up to 50% of the trade fees and funding on positions you close. You can only benefit by trading with your own money, and withdrawing can deduct part of the remaining bonus. It is a real no-deposit claim, but it has no value until you deposit.
Binance pays a $20 fee rebate voucher for completing identity verification. No deposit is needed for that task. The voucher only offsets Spot trading fees and lasts 3 days after redemption, so it is useful only if you then deposit and trade.
Bitget Wallet gives up to 5 GASU gas credits to new users who create a self-custody wallet with a code. GASU pays network fees on transfers and swaps. It is not cash, but it is one of the few rewards that requires neither a deposit nor KYC.
MetaMask runs Rewards seasons with points. In Season 1, new members got 250 points, plus 250 more with a referral code. Points are not cash, cannot be transferred and can be revoked.
Why “instant withdraw” claims are false
The phrase “free crypto sign-up bonus instant withdraw” appears on many code pages. We have not found a single program that matches it. Here is what happens when you hold the phrase up against official terms:
The no-deposit rewards above are all non-withdrawable by design. The withdrawable bonuses all need a deposit or trade and all come with a delay. Gemini pays its $50 in crypto 32 days after sign-up. Binance.US lets you use its $10 to buy crypto straight away but applies a 30-day withdrawal hold. Crypto.com credits CRO within 24 hours of each milestone, but the first milestone is $100 of trading volume. Swyftx usually credits its $10 AUD of Bitcoin within 24 hours, after ID and selfie verification, a fiat deposit and a trade.
Futures-heavy exchanges sometimes describe their bonus as “withdrawable” when they mean that profits made with the bonus are withdrawable. That is a different promise. Bybit, MEXC, WEEX and BloFin all state that the bonus itself cannot be withdrawn.
Legit alternatives that cost very little
If your real goal is a small amount of withdrawable crypto at minimal cost, a low-deposit bonus beats a no-deposit one. You keep the crypto you buy, and the reward is real.
Real crypto for a small purchase. CoinSpot pays $10 AUD of Bitcoin to a new user who verifies and makes a first AUD deposit, and its help articles state no minimum amount. Swyftx pays $10 AUD of Bitcoin after verification, a fiat deposit and a trade, with no published minimum trade size. Both are for Australia (Swyftx also covers New Zealand).
Strong ratio for a $100 trade. Gemini pays $50 in crypto after $100 of trades in the US, Hong Kong and New Zealand. You keep the $100 of crypto you bought, minus fees, plus the reward. Binance.US pays $10 after $100 in buys or trades.
KYC-only rewards. Identity verification is free, and on Binance it alone earns the $20 fee voucher. If you plan to trade anyway, completing KYC early is the closest thing to a free reward on a large exchange.
Learn-and-earn programs. Some platforms pay small amounts of crypto for watching lessons and answering quizzes. We have not verified one as part of our reviews, so we do not list any here. If you try one, check that it runs on the platform’s own domain and that the terms say how and when the reward can be withdrawn.
Join the Affiliate ProgramHow to tell a real no-deposit bonus from a scam
A real no-deposit reward has published terms on the platform’s own domain, a clear form (futures bonus, voucher, points) and a stated expiry. You claim it inside your account, in a rewards hub or promo storage. It never asks you to send money first.
A scam looks different. It arrives through a direct message, a Telegram channel or a video comment. It promises a specific amount of withdrawable USDT or Bitcoin, then asks you to connect a wallet and sign a transaction, enter a seed phrase, or pay a small “unlock fee” to release the bonus. Some clone an exchange’s referral page pixel by pixel. If the domain is not exactly the exchange’s own, close the tab.
KYC, regions and the fine print
Most no-deposit rewards still need some verification. KCEX releases rewards once KYC and contact binding are complete. Binance’s $20 voucher is the KYC task itself. Margex lets you claim without documents but reserves the right to request verification. Our KYC guide explains what each level asks for.
Region rules apply too. KCEX rejects users from the US, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and several other countries. Margex is closed to the US, Canada and Hong Kong among others. Binance.com is closed to US residents. If you live in the US, none of the no-deposit exchange rewards above are open to you; the US crypto bonuses page lists what is.
Finally, a bonus you cannot withdraw is not automatically worthless. If you were planning to try futures anyway, a 20 USDT futures bonus gives you a small cushion. If you were planning to buy Bitcoin on Binance, the $20 voucher shaves your first fees. Just do not open an account expecting free money.
So what should you do?
If you want something for nothing, claim the KYC-only and sign-up-only rewards on platforms you would use anyway, and expect them to be trading credits. If you want withdrawable crypto, put down a small deposit on a program that pays in real crypto, such as Gemini, CoinSpot or Swyftx, and treat the reward as a discount on your first purchase. The full ranking by real value is on our sign-up bonuses page, and the exchange comparison covers fee kickbacks for those who plan to trade regularly.
