- How the bonus unlocksWhat you must do (deposit, trade a volume, hold funds) before the bonus becomes usable or withdrawable.

How to claim it, step by step
- Step 1
Install Bitget Wallet from the official site
Download the app from web3.bitget.com or your official app store. Fake wallet apps are common, so check the developer name.
- Step 2
Create your wallet and back up the seed phrase
Create a new wallet and write the recovery phrase down offline. A referral code never asks for your seed phrase.
- Step 3
Bind the referral code
Open the invite link, or go to Home → Referral Center (top-right icon), tap Use referral code and enter it. You have 7 days from sign-up.
- Step 4
Claim the new-user gas credits
Check the Earning Center or Refer2Earn page for the GASU credits. They pay network fees on transfers, swaps and NFT purchases.
- Step 5
Optional: apply for the Bitget Wallet Card
If you want a crypto card, apply from More → Card. The card has its own referral rewards, paid to the person who invited you.
Most people searching for a Bitget Wallet referral code expect something like the exchange’s giant welcome pack. That is not how a self-custody wallet works. Bitget Wallet does not hold your money, so it cannot pay you futures credits or trading fee vouchers. What a Bitget Wallet invite code gives a new user is a small gas credit. What it gives the person who invited you is a share of your activity for months: your Earning Center rewards, your card spending and, through affiliates, your swap fees.
That is not a scam or a trick, just a different model. This review lays out who earns what, using Bitget Wallet’s own Academy and help pages, so you can decide whether a code matters to you at all.

How a Bitget Wallet referral code differs from an exchange code
On an exchange, a code usually means a sign-up bonus or a fee kickback. Bitget Wallet is a self-custody walletA wallet where only you hold the recovery phrase and private keys. The company cannot freeze or move your funds, but it also cannot recover them if you lose the phrase.: your assets sit on the blockchain under keys only you control. The wallet earns from swap fees, perpetual futures fees and its crypto card, so its referral system pays out on those three activities.
| Program | Who it rewards | What the invitee gets | What the inviter gets |
|---|---|---|---|
| Refer2Earn | Any wallet user | Up to 5 GASU gas credits | 10% of the friend’s Earning Center rewards for 6 months |
| Card referral | Any wallet user | No published perk | $2–$5 per activation plus a share of spending |
| Affiliate program | Approved creators | No published perk | Up to 60% of eligible swap fees, 20% of perps fees |
Bitget Wallet is a separate product from the Bitget exchange. If you came here for the exchange’s 6,200 USDT pack, read our Bitget exchange referral code review instead; a wallet code does nothing there.
What the invited user gets: gas credits, not cash
The only invitee reward Bitget Wallet documents is in Refer2Earn: new users who sign up and create a wallet with a code or link receive up to 5 GASU. GASU is a gas credit used inside the app to pay network fees on transfers, swaps and NFT purchases. It is not a tradable token, and “up to” means some users receive less.
A Bitget Wallet friend-referral landing page we checked showed a claim of “up to $5” once you log in, with no further terms. That fits the gas-credit picture: a few dollars of free transaction fees, enough for several transfers on a cheap chain and maybe one swap on a busy one.
The 7-day binding window and why codes fail
Bitget Wallet is more forgiving than most exchanges. If you created your wallet without a code, you can still bind one, provided you are within 7 days of sign-up and have not used another invitation code. Go to Home, tap the Referral Center icon in the top-right corner, choose Use referral code and enter it. In the card area the same option sits under More, Referrals, Card.
Binding is permanent, and Bitget Wallet lists four reasons it can fail:
- The device has already been bound to an invitation code.
- The device is flagged as a security risk.
- You tried to enter your own code.
- More than 7 days have passed since you signed up.
The device rule catches families sharing a phone: if one person has bound a code on it, a second wallet on the same device cannot bind another. Our general guide on how to use a referral code covers the habit that avoids all of this, which is entering the code before you finish setup.
Open Referral PageCard referral tiers: where the inviter’s money comes from
The Bitget Wallet Card is a crypto payment card funded from the wallet, and it carries the most detailed referral table Bitget Wallet publishes. The inviter earns when a friend binds their code, activates a card and makes a first purchase within 7 days.
| Inviter level | Requirement | Activation bonus | Spending commission |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1 | Default | $2 | 0.10% |
| Level 2 | 5+ referrals | $3 | 0.15% |
| Level 3 | 20+ referrals | $4 | 0.20% |
| VIP 1–3 | 100+ referrals | $5 | 0.20%–0.30% |
On top of that, a physical card activation pays the inviter $9.80 at standard levels and up to $24.50 at VIP 3, and a second-level rebateA bonus paid on the earnings of people your referrals invited, one step further down the chain. of 10% applies to the rewards of the inviter’s own referrals. Activation bonuses arrive within 24 hours of card approval in USDC, and spending commission is paid T+1 to a Rewards Account that can be withdrawn at any time. Bitget Wallet stresses that the friend’s own reward is not reduced by these payouts. Our explainer on multi-level referral systems shows how this second layer adds up.
A worked example: who earns what in a year
Say you create a wallet with a friend’s code, receive the gas credit, activate a virtual card and spend $500 a month on it. You also collect $100 of rewards from Earning Center campaigns over six months.
| Item | You receive | Your inviter receives |
|---|---|---|
| Wallet creation | Up to 5 GASU gas credits | Nothing directly |
| Earning Center, 6 months | Your full $100 | 10%, about $10 |
| Card activation and first purchase | No published perk | $2 at Level 1 |
| $6,000 card spending over a year | No published perk | 0.10%, about $6 |
Your side is the same with or without the code, except for the gas credit. The inviter collects roughly $18 in this scenario, and more at higher levels. Nothing in that flow costs you extra: Bitget Wallet funds the commissions from its own revenue rather than from your balance.
The affiliate program and swap fees
Bigger numbers live in the affiliate program, which requires an application, an active audience and approval. Affiliates earn up to 60% of eligible swap fees on selected pairs and 20% of eligible perpetual futures fees, plus card income. Referrals stay linked to the affiliate with no expiry, earnings are credited daily, and the program runs in 128 regions.
None of this reaches the invitee as a discount. Bitget Wallet does not publish a reduced swap fee for people who join through an affiliate. If a site promises cheaper swaps with its code, ask where that is written; we found no such rule. The difference between ordinary referrals and approved partners is explained in our guide to referral vs affiliate programs.
Bitget Wallet compared with other wallet referral programs
Self-custody wallets rarely pay new users much, because they have no deposit to reward. MetaMask and Phantom take different approaches to referrals, and Bitget Wallet stands out mainly for its card commissions. If a crypto card is what you are after, compare it with dedicated card programs such as RedotPay, and see the wider wallet referral overview for the full category.
Safety checks before you paste any code
A referral code should only ever be a short string of letters and numbers. Bitget Wallet never needs your seed phrase or private key to bind one, and no legitimate referral page asks for them. Download the app only from the official site or store listing, and treat “airdrop claim” links that ask you to connect your wallet and sign a transaction with suspicion. The worst outcome of a missing referral code is losing 5 GASU; the worst outcome of a fake one is losing the wallet.
What works
- New users can bind a referral code up to 7 days after sign-up, as long as no other code was used.
- The self-custody wallet itself needs no KYC, so the gas credit has no identity check attached.
- Card referral commissions are paid T+1 to a Rewards Account and can be withdrawn at any time.
- Bitget Wallet publishes its card referral tiers in full, from $2 per activation up to VIP rates.
Watch out for
- The new-user reward is small: up to 5 GASU gas credits, not a cash or token bonus.
- There is no published swap fee discount for invited users; the 60% swap fee share goes to approved affiliates.
- Binding fails if the phone has already been bound to a code or is flagged as a security risk.
- A bound code can never be changed, even if you later find a code with better perks.
Use a Bitget Wallet referral code if you are setting up the wallet anyway: it costs nothing and may cover a few transactions' gas. Do not choose a code expecting a bonus. The program is built to reward inviters, mainly through card spending and swap commissions, and the invitee's side is a few gas credits.
