- Availability
- Binance.com is closed to US residents (see Binance.US). Tasks vary by country.
- How the bonus unlocksWhat you must do (deposit, trade a volume, hold funds) before the bonus becomes usable or withdrawable.

How to claim it, step by step
- Step 1
Open the sign-up page with the code attached
Use a referral link or type the referral ID into the Referral ID (optional) field before you create the account. Binding a code afterwards is only possible through a restricted application.
- Step 2
Register and verify your identity
Sign up with email or phone, then complete Identity Verification (ID document + selfie). This finishes the first beginner task worth a $20 fee voucher.
- Step 3
Make a first deposit of at least $10
Fund the account with $10 or more via crypto deposit, card, bank transfer or P2P within 14 days of registering. That completes the $30 task.
- Step 4
Place a first Spot or Convert trade of $10+
Buy or convert at least $10 worth of crypto. This is the $50 task and the last step of the welcome package.
- Step 5
Redeem the vouchers in Rewards Hub
Open Profile → Rewards Hub and redeem each voucher. Once redeemed, a voucher is usable for 3 days, so redeem right before you plan to trade.
Most pages about the Binance referral code promise “100 USDT free” and stop there. The reality is more useful and less exciting. A Binance code does two separate jobs. It puts you on the standard new-user track, where three simple tasks unlock up to $100 in trading fee rebate vouchers. And it links your account to the person who invited you, under whichever referral mode that person picked. That second link decides whether you get an ongoing discount on fees or a one-time voucher, and it can never be changed afterwards.
This review breaks both parts down with the numbers Binance publishes in its own help center, so you can see what the bonus is worth for the way you actually use an exchange.
- $100maximum welcome package, paid as Spot fee vouchers
- $10minimum first deposit and first trade to unlock it
- 14 dayswindow to finish the three beginner tasks
- 0–10%fee kickback for you in standard Referral Pro mode
What a Binance referral code actually gives you
Binance runs one referral system with two modes, and each new account can be tied to only one of them. The inviter chooses the mode when they create their link, so two codes that look identical on a website can lead to quite different deals.
| Part of the offer | Who gets it | What it is worth | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| New-user beginner tasks | You | Up to $100 in fee rebate vouchers | Tasks must be done within 14 days |
| Referral Pro kickback | You | 0%, 5% or 10% of your trading fees returned | Ongoing for Spot and Margin |
| Referral Lite vouchers | You and the inviter | Up to $100 (you) and up to $1,000 equivalent (both) in vouchers | One-time, tied to tasks |
| Pro commission | The inviter | 20% to 50% of your Spot fees | Evaluated every three months |
The welcome tasks are available to every new verified user whose region supports them, whether or not they used a code. The real difference a code makes is the second row or the third row: either a fee kickbackA kickback is part of your own trading fee that the exchange returns to you. With a 10% kickback, $10 of fees costs you $9. that keeps paying while you trade, or a one-off pile of vouchers.
The $100 welcome bonus is a fee voucher, not cash
This is the point most code sites skip. The “up to $100” figure is made up of three trading fee rebate vouchers. A voucher does not land in your wallet as USDT you can withdraw or spend. It sits in Rewards Hub, and once you redeem it Binance uses it to cover the fees on your next Spot trades.
| Beginner task | Minimum requirement | Voucher value |
|---|---|---|
| Verify your identity | Complete full ID verification | $20 |
| First deposit | $10 or more via crypto deposit, P2P or fiat | $30 |
| First trade | Spot or Convert trade of $10 or more | $50 |
All three tasks have to be completed within 14 days of registration. After you redeem a voucher it stays usable for only 3 days. Binance’s standard Spot fee for a regular account is 0.1% per trade, so using a $50 voucher in full means paying $50 in fees, which is roughly $50,000 of Spot volume inside three days. For someone who buys a few hundred dollars of Bitcoin once a month, most of the voucher value simply expires.
That does not make the offer worthless. If you were going to trade anyway, the vouchers erase your fees for the first days, and the $10 thresholds are easy to hit. Just treat the $100 as a fee subsidy with a short shelf life, not as free money.
How the Binance fee kickback works in real money
If your inviter uses Referral Pro, the sign-up page shows a percentage next to the code. That is your share of the inviter’s commission, paid back to you as a kickback. In the standard Pro mode the inviter receives a base rate of 20% of the fees you pay and can share 0%, 5% or 10% with you. The rest stays with them.
Your fee rate depends on whether you add or remove liquidity. A maker or takerA maker order waits in the order book (a limit order that does not fill instantly). A taker order fills immediately against existing orders, such as a market order. Takers usually pay more. at the regular level pays 0.1% on Spot. Paying fees with BNB cuts that by 25% to 0.075%, and the referral kickback is applied to whatever you actually paid.
| Monthly Spot volume | Fees at 0.1% | With 10% kickback | You save per year |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $1.00 | $0.90 | $1.20 |
| $10,000 | $10.00 | $9.00 | $12.00 |
| $100,000 | $100.00 | $90.00 | $120.00 |
| $500,000 | $500.00 | $450.00 | $600.00 |
The table shows why the kickback matters for active traders and barely registers for occasional buyers. Note one more limit: once you climb to VIP 3 or higher, Binance stops paying referral commission on your trades, and the kickback ends with it. At that level your VIP fee tier is worth more anyway.
Open Referral PageReferral Lite: when the code pays vouchers instead
Some inviters pick Lite mode. In that case you do not get a lasting fee discount. Instead, the Trading Fee Rebate Voucher program pays out on two milestones. A crypto purchase of more than $50 earns you up to $100 equivalent in vouchers. Reaching more than $100 in cumulative trading volume earns both you and the inviter up to $1,000 equivalent.
The conditions are narrow. Only cash deposits, debit or credit card purchases and P2P trades count as a purchase; crypto deposits, internal transfers and third-party payments do not. Only Spot and Convert trades count toward volume, and trades from API keys or trading bots are excluded. Vouchers arrive within 48 hours of each task, must be redeemed within 7 days and stay valid for 14 days after activation. “Up to $1,000” is a ceiling, not a typical outcome.
Lite also includes an Earn Together campaign that rewards the inviter in tokens when friends hit $100, $500 and $1,000 of Spot volume, with a cap of $400 per 30 days. It matters to the person sharing the link, not to you as a new user.
Can you add a referral code after signing up?
Usually not, and never casually. Binance attaches a referral at registration, and each new user can be referred through one mode only. There is no general “add referral” field in the account settings. Binance does run a limited binding application for very new accounts: according to Binance’s own posts the account must be a main account younger than 30 days, with no deposits, no trades and no existing referrer, and the binding only takes effect once extra conditions are met (one official post describes a trading volume target within 30 days of applying). Treat this as an exception that may change, check the current terms in the Binance app, and don’t count on it. Opening a second account to grab a code breaks Binance’s terms and risks both accounts.
The practical takeaway: decide before you register. If you expect to trade regularly, a Pro code with a 10% share is the better long-term deal. If you only plan to make a few purchases, the standard welcome tasks give you nearly everything on offer.
Who cannot use the Binance referral program
Binance.com does not serve residents of the United States, who need Binance.US and its own referral program. Several other countries have restricted or limited access, and the list changes, so check the restricted jurisdictions in Binance’s Terms of Use before you deposit. Sub-accounts, broker accounts and users who joined through a co-inviter are also excluded from Pro commission evaluation.
Identity verification is not optional. It is the first welcome task, and without it neither the vouchers nor the referral link produce anything. Expect to upload a government ID and take a selfie. Approval is usually quick, but plan for delays during busy market days.
Is a Binance referral code worth it for you?
| Your profile | What to expect | Our take |
|---|---|---|
| Buy crypto a few times a year | $20–$50 of vouchers actually used, the rest expires | Worth it only for the first trade’s fees |
| Active Spot trader ($10k+/month) | Full welcome vouchers plus 10% of fees back every month | Clear win, pick a Pro code with a 10% share |
| Futures trader | Welcome tasks help little; Futures kickback depends on the inviter’s settings | Compare with Bybit and OKX |
| US resident | Binance.com unavailable | Use Binance.US instead |
What the referrer earns, for context
Knowing the inviter’s side explains why codes are so heavily promoted. Under Referral Pro, the base commission is 20% of Spot and Margin fees. It rises to 30%, 41% and 50% as the inviter’s referred users generate more volume (from $200,000 with 3 new traders up to $30 million with 15 new traders per quarter). Futures commission starts at 10% for one year per friend and climbs to 30%, 40% and 50% at much larger volumes. Binance evaluates these tiers every three calendar months and voids commission for links promoted through search engine ads.
None of this changes your discount directly, but it tells you something: an inviter at a high tier earns far more than the 10% they can share with you. What works
- Welcome tasks need only a $10 deposit and a $10 trade, one of the lowest thresholds among large exchanges.
- The fee kickback under Referral Pro applies to every eligible Spot and Margin trade, not just the first month.
- Binance publishes the full Pro commission tiers (20/30/41/50% Spot) in its help center.
Watch out for
- The headline $100 is paid as fee rebate vouchers that only offset Spot trading fees. You cannot withdraw them.
- Each redeemed voucher expires after 3 days, so a casual buyer rarely uses the full value.
- The invitee kickback is capped at 10% in the standard Pro mode, lower than the "20% discount" many code sites promise.
- US residents cannot use Binance.com at all and must go through the separate Binance.US program.
Use a Binance referral code if you plan to actually trade on Spot: the $100 welcome package is easy to reach with $10, and a 10% kickback adds up for active traders. Do not expect free cash. Every dollar of the bonus is a voucher against fees, and most of it expires if you only buy once.
