- Withdrawable?
- Mostly no. Bonuses and Fee Savers cannot be withdrawn or transferred; profits made with a bonus can be. Airdrop-type rewards act like your own assets.
- Availability
- Not available in the US, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore and other excluded jurisdictions. Referral page covers Bybit Global only.
- How the bonus unlocksWhat you must do (deposit, trade a volume, hold funds) before the bonus becomes usable or withdrawable.
- First trade of at least $50 within 14 days of registration; $500 and $10,000 cumulative volume within 30 days after that first trade. 3-day risk review, claim within 10 days.
How to claim it, step by step
- Step 1
Open the Bybit sign-up page with the code
Use a referral link or type the code into the Referral Code field on the registration form. Bybit only links a referral at account creation.
- Step 2
Register and complete Identity Verification
Sign up with email or phone, then verify your identity with an ID document and a selfie. Rewards Hub rewards cannot be claimed without it.
- Step 3
Fund the account
Deposit via crypto transfer, One-Click Buy, P2P or fiat deposit. Internal transfers from another Bybit account do not count.
- Step 4
Make a first trade of at least $50 within 14 days
Spot, Derivatives, Convert and several other products qualify. This unlocks the first 50 USDT reward and starts the 30-day window for the bigger volume tasks.
- Step 5
Claim rewards in Referral History and Rewards Hub
Rewards appear after a 3-day risk review and must be claimed within 10 days. Check each reward's expiry date under My Rewards.
Search for a Bybit referral code and you will drown in pages promising “30,000 USDT for new users.” Bybit does show that number on its sign-up screen, but it is a ceiling, not a welcome present. What a code actually does is simpler and easier to plan around. It links you to the person who invited you, which unlocks three referee trading tasks worth up to 250 USDT for you, and it puts you on the same new-user Welcome Gift track that every fresh account gets in Rewards HubBybit's in-account reward centre. Tasks, vouchers, bonuses and fee savers show up here, each with its own claim deadline and expiry date..
This review goes through each layer with the numbers from Bybit’s own help center, shows which parts are spendable and which are trading credit, and explains why the code you pick matters less than the volume you plan to trade.
- 250 USDTmaximum referee task rewards for you (50 + 100 + 100)

What a Bybit referral code gives you
The code has two separate effects. First, it registers you as a referee of a specific inviter, and both of you earn rewards when you hit the trading tasks. Second, nothing about the code changes the new-user Welcome Gift: that track depends on your region and the campaigns running when you register, not on whose link you used.
| Part of the offer | Who gets it | What it is worth | Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| First Trade Task | You and the inviter | 50 USDT each | First trade of $50+ within 14 days |
| More Trade Task | You and the inviter | 100 USDT each | $500 volume within 30 days of first trade |
| Advanced Trade Task | You and the inviter | 100 USDT each | $10,000 volume within 30 days of first trade |
| Welcome Gift stages | You only | About $100 in fee savers or bonuses | Set per task in Rewards Hub |
| Referral commission | The inviter only | 20% to 30% of your net fees | 365 days from your sign-up |
Bybit sums the referral side up as “up to 500 USDT together,” which is the 250 USDT you can earn plus the 250 USDT your inviter earns from the same three tasks. Your side is half of that.
Accounts that registered before Bybit’s most recent referral change follow the older schedule: 10 USDT for a $100 deposit within 7 days, 15 USDT for $500 of trading, and a Mystery Box worth up to 1,000 USDT for $10,000 of trading. If you are signing up now, the newer 50 / 100 / 100 USDT structure applies.
The “up to 30,000 USDT” headline, decoded
When you arrive through an affiliate link, Bybit’s registration screen reads “Get up to 30,000 USDT when you register, deposit and trade.” Third-party code pages copy it into their titles. Here is what sits behind it.
Bybit’s own Welcome Gift guide describes the standard new-user ladder as four progressive stages paying 20 or 40 USDT each, mostly as Fee SaversA Bybit voucher that automatically pays part of your trading fees. It cannot be withdrawn, converted or transferred, and it expires. or derivatives bonuses:
| Stage | What you must do | Typical reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Complete Identity Verification | 20 USDT in Spot or Derivatives fee savers |
| 2 | Deposit at least $100 | 20 USDT in fee savers |
| 3 | Deposit $100 and trade at least $10 | 20 USDT fee saver, derivatives bonus or token airdrop |
| 4 | Deposit $100 and trade at least $30,000 | 40 USDT in fee savers |
Add those up and you get 100 USDT, which matches the “extra $100 Welcome Gift” Bybit’s referral FAQ mentions. On top of that, rotating campaigns (token splashes, weekly airdrops, Earn promotions) can add more, and Bybit’s Welcome Gift portal speaks of “up to $5,000” in total. The 30,000 figure stacks every possible deposit-and-volume tier of every running campaign. To get anywhere near it you would need deposits and trading volume in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and much of the reward would still be credit you cannot withdraw.

How Rewards Hub rewards actually work
Bybit’s Rewards Hub hands out several kinds of reward, and they are not interchangeable. The type decides whether the money is real.
- Bonus (derivatives, copy trading, fiat). Used as margin or to cover fees and losses on perpetual contracts. The bonus itself cannot be withdrawn, but profits you make with it can.
- Fee Savers. Pay a fixed amount or a percentage of your trading fees, automatically, until used up or expired. Never withdrawable.
- Fee Discount. A temporary percentage off the non-VIP fee rate. If your VIP rate is already lower, the VIP rate wins.
- Airdrop. Behaves like your own assets and can be used for anything, including withdrawal.
- Position Airdrop. A bonus voucher combined with fixed leverage. A 50 USDT voucher at 10x opens a 500 USDT perpetual position; after you close it, the voucher turns into a normal bonus you can use as margin.
Every reward except airdrops has a claim deadline and a separate expiry date after claiming. Unused value is forfeited without refund. Bybit also notes that a bonus used as margin for an open position disappears when it expires, which can push a position closer to liquidation. If you take a futures bonus, keep an eye on that date.
A worked example: what a normal first month pays
Say you register with a code, verify, deposit $500 and trade a little each week. Here is how the rewards line up at three activity levels. Fees use Bybit’s regular Spot rate of 0.1% for both makers and takers.
| Your first 30 days | Referral tasks reached | Rewards for you | Spot fees you pay |
|---|---|---|---|
| One $60 BTC buy | First Trade | 50 USDT | About $0.06 |
| $800 of trading | First Trade + More Trade | 150 USDT | About $0.80 |
| $12,000 of trading | All three | 250 USDT | About $12 |
On paper the second row is the sweet spot: 150 USDT in rewards for less than a dollar of fees. The catch is the reward form. If most of it arrives as Fee Savers, you can only “spend” it by paying fees, and at 0.1% you would need around $150,000 of Spot volume to use 150 USDT of fee savers before they expire. A derivatives bonus is more flexible because it can absorb losses, but it pushes you toward leveraged trading. Only the airdrop-type rewards are as good as cash.
Our honest estimate: a casual buyer who trades a few hundred dollars realistically extracts $10 to $50 of value from the whole package. An active futures trader gets much closer to face value.
Open Referral PageReferral code, invite code, promo code: one field
People search for a Bybit invite code, a Bybit promo code and a Bybit referral code as if they were three different deals. They are not. Bybit’s registration form has one optional field, and every code you find online goes into it. The string links you to an inviter (a normal user, or an affiliate with a custom code) and that is all.
Two practical rules follow:
- Enter it before you click Sign Up. Bybit’s referral FAQ is blunt: if your friend forgot to use your code or link, they “will not be recognized” as your referee. There is no form to add it later.
- Do not open a second account to use a code. Bybit’s bonus terms disqualify multi-account farming, and both accounts can lose their rewards.
If you want a step-by-step routine that works across exchanges, our guide on how to use a referral code correctly covers the common mistakes, such as pre-filled codes from an earlier link.
What the inviter earns, and why there is no kickback for you
The standard Bybit referral program does not share commission with you. Your inviter starts at 20% of your net trading fees, rises to 25% after inviting 5 qualified referees in a quarter, and to 30% at 100 qualified referees or $15 million of referee derivatives volume per quarter. Commission runs for 365 days from your registration and is settled daily in USDT.
Bybit calculates it on net fees: your fee minus any bonus, coupon or fee discount used. Since February, referral commission is also capped at $5,000 per referrer per quarter, unless the referrer brings in at least 15 new depositing traders. And if you stop trading for 180 days, the referral link may be cut.
None of this costs you anything, but it explains why some sites push Bybit codes so hard. If a permanent fee kickbackPart of your own trading fee returned to you after each trade, usually as a percentage. A 10% kickback on $10 of fees means $1 back. matters to you, Bybit’s standard program does not provide one. Our explainer on how referral kickbacks work compares exchanges that do.
Bybit fees and how the bonus offsets them
Bybit’s base rates for regular (VIP 0) accounts are 0.1% maker and 0.1% taker on Spot crypto pairs, and 0.02% maker and 0.055% taker on perpetual and futures contracts. Your actual rate can differ by region, and Bybit tells users to check the My Fee Rate page after verification.
That futures pricing is why the Welcome Gift leans on derivatives. A 20 USDT Derivatives Fee Saver covers taker fees on roughly $36,000 of perpetual volume at 0.055%, while the same 20 USDT on Spot only covers $20,000. If you plan to trade perpetuals, learn the difference between maker and taker fees first: placing limit orders cuts your fees by almost two thirds and makes any fee saver last longer.
When several rewards apply at once, Bybit uses them in a fixed order: Fee Discount first, then Fee Savers, then Bonus (Unified Trading Account users have bonus applied before Fee Savers). Only the single best fee discount applies; vouchers do not stack with VIP or affiliate rates.
Who cannot use a Bybit referral code
Bybit’s terms exclude residents of the United States, Canada, mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Uzbekistan, Sudan, Syria, Crimea and the non-government-controlled parts of the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Bybit can add jurisdictions at any time. The referral program on Bybit’s global referral page applies to Bybit Global users only; some regions run their own local programs with different rewards.
Identity verification is mandatory for claiming any Rewards Hub reward. Expect an ID document and a selfie, and complete it before you deposit so the Welcome Gift stages register in order. Our KYC guide for crypto bonuses explains what each exchange asks for.
US residents looking for a regulated alternative should look at offers in the exchanges category that accept US customers instead.
Fine print most Bybit code pages leave out
- Rewards come from a pool. Bybit funds referral rewards from a monthly 500,000 USDT pool with a daily claim limit, prioritising referees with higher volume. If the day’s allocation is gone, you claim tomorrow, as long as the month’s pool lasts.
- 3-day review, 10-day claim window. Rewards appear after a 3-day risk check and expire if not claimed within 10 days of distribution.
- Zero-fee pairs do not count. Trading volume on zero-fee Spot, Derivatives and Options pairs is excluded from the task totals.
- Internal transfers do not count as deposits. Only One-Click Buy, P2P, crypto deposits and fiat deposits qualify.
- API trading counts. Unlike several competitors, Bybit includes API volume for the referral tasks.
Bybit versus other exchange sign-up offers
| Exchange | Headline for new users | Main reward form | Ongoing invitee kickback |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bybit | Up to 250 USDT referral tasks + Welcome Gift | Fee savers, bonuses | None in standard program |
| Binance | Up to $100 in welcome vouchers | Spot fee vouchers | 0–10% in Referral Pro |
| OKX | Personalized new-user rewards | Bonuses, vouchers, rebate cards | Set per affiliate code |
| KuCoin | Cashback set by the referrer | Share of your own fees | Up to the referrer’s rate |
Bybit pays the largest fixed task rewards of the group for modest volume, while Binance’s referral code and OKX’s referral program lean more on fee discounts. If you mainly buy and hold, a kickback-based program saves you more over time; if you trade futures in your first month, Bybit’s tasks are the bigger number.
What works
- The first referee task needs only a single $50 trade within 14 days, a low bar for 50 USDT in rewards.
- Bybit publishes the exact referee task thresholds, time windows and commission tiers in its help center.
- Spot, Derivatives, Convert and Earn activity all count toward the First Time Trade, so you are not forced into futures.
- The Welcome Gift stages for identity verification and a $100 deposit stack on top of the referral tasks.
Watch out for
- The "up to 30,000 USDT" sign-up banner is a ceiling built from volume-gated campaigns; the published stages total far less.
- Bonuses and Fee Savers are not withdrawable and expire if unused; only profits made with them can be withdrawn.
- Referral rewards come from a 500,000 USDT monthly pool with daily claim limits, paid first-come, first-served.
- There is no permanent invitee fee kickback in the standard referral program.
- US, Canadian, Singaporean and Hong Kong residents cannot open a Bybit Global account at all.
A Bybit referral code is worth using if you will trade at least $500 in your first month: two tasks pay 150 USDT in rewards on top of the Welcome Gift. Just read every number as trading credit, not cash. Bybit's rewards are mostly fee savers and futures bonuses, and the 30,000 USDT headline is a theoretical maximum almost nobody reaches.
