- Sign-up bonus
- No fixed referral sign-up bonus in HTX's referral rules. Newcomer campaigns run separately in the Rewards Hub with their own terms.
- Fee discount (kickback)A kickback is the share of your own trading fees the platform hands back to you, usually for as long as the account exists.
- Whatever share of that rate the inviter assigns to the code as cashback; HTX does not publish a default
- Referrer reward
- 30% of the invitee's trading fees, settled daily, for 730 days from the invitee's registration
- KYCKnow Your Customer: identity verification with an ID document and often a selfie, required by regulated platforms before bonuses or withdrawals.
- Not listed as a condition in HTX's referral rules. Campaigns set their own verification requirements.
- Withdrawable?
- Yes. Paid in USDT, or in HT or Point Card points if that is how the fee was paid.
- Availability
- Check HTX's user agreement; the invite page does not list eligible countries.
- How the bonus unlocksWhat you must do (deposit, trade a volume, hold funds) before the bonus becomes usable or withdrawable.
- Register through the inviter's link or code and trade. Rebate runs for 730 days from registration.
How to claim it, step by step
- Step 1
Open the HTX sign-up page through the referral link
Use a referral link or type the code into the Referral code field. The referral is attached at registration.
- Step 2
Check the cashback rate before you submit
Inviters can create several codes with different cashback shares. If the sign-up page or the inviter shows a rate, note it now.
- Step 3
Secure the account and complete verification
Add 2FA and complete identity verification if HTX asks for it. Rewards Hub campaigns set their own KYC rules.
- Step 4
Deposit and trade
Every trading fee you pay during the 730-day window feeds the rebate. Deposit and withdrawal fees and loan interest do not count.
- Step 5
Check your daily cashback
Rebates are calculated at 0:00 each day and credited before 10 p.m. the following day, in USDT, HT or points depending on how you paid fees.
HTX is the exchange most people still know as Huobi. The name changed, but the referral system is the same one Huobi users have used for years, and HTX’s own announcement still links to the old Huobi rule page. If you search for an HTX referral code you will see promises of “$1,500 off” or “100% fee discount”. None of those numbers appear in HTX’s referral rules. What does appear is a clear structure: the inviter earns 30% of your trading fees for 730 days, paid daily, and can share part of that rate with you.
This review sticks to what HTX publishes on its own invite page and support center, and is upfront about what it does not publish.

How the HTX referral program works
HTX calls the current version the HTX Rebate Privilege Program. When your friend signs up through your link and starts trading, every fee they pay produces a rebate. The headline on HTX’s invite page is simple: invite friends and get 30% rebates of their fees, with cashback lasting 24 months and settled every day.
| Rule | What HTX publishes |
|---|---|
| Base rebate | 30% of the invitee’s trading fees |
| Validity | 730 days from the invitee’s actual registration |
| Settlement | Calculated at 0:00, paid before 10 p.m. the next day |
| Payout asset | USDT, HT or Point Card points |
| Excluded | Deposit and withdrawal fees, loan interest |
| Risk control | Violations mark the invitee and rebates as invalid |
The formula on the invite page is: rebate = actual trading amount × fee rate × cashback proportion. That is the inviter’s side. Your side depends on the next section.
How the invitee’s share is set
HTX introduced cashback sharing when it upgraded the program to “Invite Friends, Earn Bonus Together”. An inviter can choose to share part of their referral bonus with the people they invite, and set the cashback rateThe part of the inviter's referral rate that HTX pays back to you instead of to them. It lowers your effective trading fee. themselves, with a cap of 50%. They can also create several QR codes or invitation codes, each with a different cashback rate, and set one as the default.
HTX’s own example makes the split concrete. User A has a base referral rate of 40% with a 2-year validity. A shares 10% with User B and keeps 30%. When B pays 100 USDT in fees during the validity period, A receives 30 USDT and B receives 10 USDT. With today’s standard 30% base, the same logic applies: whatever the inviter gives you comes out of their 30%.
What the HTX rebate is worth
Because HTX’s fee rates vary by tier and product, the clearest way to judge the code is by the fees you pay. Assume the inviter shares 10 points of their 30% with you:
| Fees you pay per month | Your 10% cashback | Over 12 months | Over the full 730 days |
|---|---|---|---|
| $10 | $1 | $12 | $24 |
| $50 | $5 | $60 | $120 |
| $200 | $20 | $240 | $480 |
| $1,000 | $100 | $1,200 | $2,400 |
The 730-day window is the strong point. Many rival programs stop after 12 months or halve the reward halfway; HTX keeps paying at the same rate for two full years from your registration. Remember the clock starts at sign-up, not at your first trade, so register when you plan to start trading. If you are unsure whether you pay maker or taker rates, our guide to maker vs taker fees explains why it changes the size of your fees, and therefore your cashback.
Open Referral PageWhich token you are paid in
HTX pays the referral rebate in three possible assets, and you do not choose. It follows how the fee was paid:
- Point Card. If the fee was paid with HTX’s prepaid fee points, the cashback is credited as an equal amount of points.
- HT. If the fee was paid in HT, HTX’s exchange token, the cashback is calculated and paid in HT.
- USDT. In every other case, the cashback is calculated and paid in USDT.
HTX recalculates the USDT value of other currencies at market price every 5 minutes, and the final amount is whatever was actually credited. For most beginners who pay fees in the traded coin or in USDT, the cashback arrives as USDT, which is the simplest outcome. USDT and HT can be withdrawn like any other balance.
Is there an HTX sign-up bonus?
Not from the referral code itself. HTX’s referral rules describe only the fee rebate. New-user rewards on HTX come from separate, time-limited campaigns posted in the Rewards Hub and in announcements, and their prize pools, tasks and eligibility rules change from campaign to campaign. HTX’s help pages do not publish a standing welcome package with fixed amounts.
That matters when you see “HTX $1,500 bonus” or similar on code sites. Those figures are usually the sum of several campaign prizes, futures vouchers or lucky-draw ceilings, not cash every new user receives. Our guide on how inflated crypto bonuses are built shows the common patterns. Judge an HTX code by its cashback rate; treat campaign rewards as a possible extra.
Can you add an HTX code later?
HTX’s rules describe invitees as people who register through the inviter’s invitation link, code or QR code, including face-to-face registration by scanning a code. HTX does not document any way to bind a referral after the account exists. Assume the referral is fixed at sign-up and enter the code then. Our walkthrough on how to use a referral code covers this timing issue across exchanges.
KYC and regional access
The referral rules on HTX’s invite page do not list identity verification as a condition for earning or receiving cashback. Campaigns in the Rewards Hub set their own requirements, so read each campaign’s rules before you rely on a reward.
The invite page also does not say which countries are eligible. Restricted jurisdictions are defined in HTX’s user agreement and terms, not in the referral rules, so check them before you deposit; we could not confirm the current list from HTX’s help pages. If HTX is not available where you live, our exchange referral programs overview lists alternatives.
HTX compared with similar codes
| Exchange | Inviter base rate | Rebate lifetime | Payout |
|---|---|---|---|
| HTX | 30% | 730 days | USDT, HT or points |
| CoinEx | 15–40% by VIP | 12 months, halved after 6 | CET |
| LBank | 30–50% by tier | Not published | Set on referral page |
HTX’s two-year window is longer than CoinEx’s, and its daily USDT payout is easy to track. The weak spot is transparency on the invitee side and on new-user rewards. See our CoinEx referral code review and LBank referral code review for the details behind the other rows, and how referral kickbacks work for the general mechanics.
Notes for inviters
If you are on the other side, the useful features are the multiple invitation codes and custom cashback rates. You can, for example, keep your full 30% on a public code and share 10 points on a code for close friends. HTX settles daily, shows a monthly list on the first day of each month for the previous month, and invalidates rebates from invitees who break risk-control rules. People with larger communities can apply by email for deeper channel cooperation, which works more like an affiliate deal; our explainer on referral vs affiliate programs covers the differences.
What works
- HTX's invite page publishes the base rate (30%), the validity period (730 days) and the daily settlement time.
- Rebates are paid daily, so you see the cashback within about a day of trading.
- The rebate window is 24 months, twice as long as CoinEx's 12-month limit.
- Inviters can issue several codes with different cashback shares, so a code with a stated rate is easy to compare.
Watch out for
- HTX does not publish a standard invitee discount; your share depends on what the inviter assigns.
- There is no permanent welcome package in the referral rules; newcomer rewards are campaign-based and change.
- If you pay fees in HT or Point Card points, the cashback comes in that asset, not in USDT.
- The referral rules do not list eligible countries, so you have to check the user agreement separately.
An HTX referral code is a reasonable pick for a regular trader who wants a 24-month fee rebate paid daily, provided the code comes with a clear cashback share. Do not expect a sign-up bonus from the code itself; HTX's newcomer rewards are separate campaigns, and HTX's own help pages do not publish a standing welcome package.
