How to claim it, step by step
- Step 1
Open the RedotPay sign-up page with the code
Use the referral link or type the code in the referral field before you create the account. It cannot be added later.
- Step 2
Verify your identity
Upload a passport, national ID card or driver's license valid for at least three more months, complete the face scan and enter your address.
- Step 3
Top up your RedotPay account
Deposit supported crypto such as USDT, USDC, BTC or ETH. You need enough balance to cover the card fee, which is deducted on issuance.
- Step 4
Order and activate a card
Choose a virtual card for 10 USD or a physical card for 100 USD. The 5 USD reward cannot be used for either fee.
- Step 5
Spend the 5 USD reward within 30 days
Once the card is active, use it for any online or in-store purchase. Check the reward's expiry date by tapping the 5 USD balance on the home screen.
People search for a RedotPay promo code expecting a free card or a cash bonus. What RedotPay actually offers is more modest and, once you add up the fees, more interesting to analyse. New users get a 5 USD sign-up reward. A referral or invite code ties your account to the person who shared it, and that person earns USDT commission on your card order and your spending. Neither of those makes the card itself free.
This review runs the numbers from RedotPay’s own help center: what you pay for the card, what you get back, what the inviter earns and where the fees hide.
- 5 USDnew-user sign-up reward, spend-only, 30 days
- 10 USDvirtual card issuance fee the reward cannot cover
- 100 USDphysical card issuance fee, no annual fee
- 1%crypto conversion fee on spending
What a RedotPay promo code actually gives you
On RedotPay, “promo code”, “referral code” and “invite code” all describe the same thing: an existing user’s code entered at registration. Here is how the pieces fit together.
| Part of the offer | Who gets it | What it is worth | Condition |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sign-up reward | You | 5 USD, spend-only | Active card, use within 30 days |
| Card order commission | The inviter | % of your card fee in USDT | Paid instantly |
| Payment commission | The inviter | % of your card spending in USDT | Settled every 30 days |
| Second-tier commission | Inviter’s inviter | 10% of the inviter’s commission | Ongoing |
The help center describes the 5 USD as a welcome bonus for new users. It does not say the reward depends on using a referral code, so do not expect a code to make it bigger. Third-party pages advertising a “10 USD bonus with this code” quote no RedotPay terms for that figure.
The 5 USD reward vs the card fee
This is the part most RedotPay promo code pages leave out. RedotPay’s help center says the 5 USD sign-up reward cannot be used toward the card issuance fee. The fee is taken from your own balance when the card is issued, so you need to fund the account first.
| Card choice | Issuance fee | 5 USD reward | Net cost before spending |
|---|---|---|---|
| Virtual card | 10 USD | Spend on purchases | 5 USD |
| Physical card | 100 USD | Spend on purchases | 95 USD |
| Virtual via Pro monthly | Waived once | Spend on purchases | Pro plan price |
| Physical via Pro annual | Waived once | Spend on purchases | Pro plan price |
So a new user who picks the virtual card pays 10 USD, receives 5 USD of spending power and ends up 5 USD down, before any transaction fees. With a physical card the reward covers a twentieth of the cost. The 100 USD fee is final once paid; RedotPay treats payment as confirmation of the application.
RedotPay card fees in real money
The card fee is a one-off. The cost that keeps running is what you pay on each purchase. RedotPay’s help center lists a 1% crypto conversion fee and a 1.2% fee on transactions in a currency other than your card’s own. A small group of listed merchants (some gaming top-ups, Facebook Ads, Discord and a few others) also carry a 1.5% fee with a 0.50 USD minimum, though the first three such transactions per card each month are waived.
| Monthly spending | 1% conversion | Plus 1.2% FX (non-card currency) | Months the 5 USD covers |
|---|---|---|---|
| 200 USD | 2 USD | 4.40 USD total | About 1 |
| 500 USD | 5 USD | 11 USD total | Under 1 |
| 2,000 USD | 20 USD | 44 USD total | A few days |
The table shows what the welcome reward really is: roughly one month of conversion fees for a light user. For cash, the physical card charges 2% on ATM withdrawals, and on USD cards the rate rises to 3% on amounts above 10,000 USD a month, before the ATM operator’s own fee.
Crypto cardA crypto card lets you hold crypto or stablecoins in an app and pay at normal card terminals. The app sells your crypto for local currency at the moment you pay. fees work like this across the market, which is why our crypto cards hub compares conversion and FX costs, not just welcome rewards.
Open Referral PageWhat the inviter earns from your code
RedotPay’s referral system pays inviters in USDT through three channels. When you order a virtual or physical card, the inviter gets a percentage of the card fee, paid instantly. Each time you spend with the card, the inviter gets a percentage of the transaction amount, settled every 30 days. And if you go on to invite others, the person who invited you earns an extra 10% of your commission.
Rates rise with the inviter’s level:
| Level | Successful referrals | Rate |
|---|---|---|
| LV1 | 0 to 9 | Shown in app |
| LV2 | 10 to 29 | Shown in app |
| LV3 | 30 or more | Shown in app |
| Exclusive | KOLs, affiliates, Redot Angels | Highest rates |
RedotPay publishes the exact percentages only as an image table in its blog and inside the Referral page of the app, not in the text of its help center. That lowers our transparency score: you can see the structure, but you cannot quote the rates from an official text page. Affiliates start at the LV1 rate and move to Exclusive after 100 successful card activations, and second-tier commissions on the affiliate track last 365 days from the invitee’s registration.
Two rules protect RedotPay rather than you. If a referred friend buys a card with a discount code of 50% or more, the inviter earns no commission on that order. And if a referred purchase is refunded, the related commission is deducted from the inviter’s balance.
KYC and who cannot use RedotPay
Identity verification is mandatory and runs through Sumsub. You need a government ID (passport, national ID card or driver’s license) valid for at least three more months, a face scan, your residential address and a short questionnaire. RedotPay may ask for extra documents such as a source-of-funds statement; if you do not submit them within about 14 days, verification is marked as failed. You must be at least 18.
The bigger restriction is nationality. RedotPay’s unsupported list is based on citizenship, and it includes the United States, Russia, Iran and Cuba among others. A separate list blocks app access by physical location. If either applies to you, a referral code changes nothing. Our KYC guide covers why card issuers check citizenship as well as residence.
Is a RedotPay referral code worth it for you?
| Your profile | What to expect | Our take |
|---|---|---|
| Want a virtual card for online payments | Pay 10 USD, get 5 USD spend-only | Fine, net cost 5 USD |
| Want a physical card for travel and ATMs | Pay 100 USD, get 5 USD | Reward barely matters |
| Spend stablecoins in non-USD shops | 1% plus 1.2% on each purchase | Fees outweigh the reward fast |
| US citizen | Cannot complete KYC | Not available |
Compare the running costs with Crypto.com’s card and referral terms or, if you mainly want to earn on idle stablecoins and spend occasionally, the Nexo referral program. The welcome reward on any of these is small next to what conversion and FX fees take over a year.
Promo codes that promise more
You will find pages offering RedotPay “promo codes” worth 10 USD, a free physical card or a fee discount. RedotPay’s help center does not document any of those for ordinary sign-ups. Some promotions have existed, such as one-off campaigns with partners, but they had their own conditions and end dates. The safe assumption is that the 5 USD welcome reward is the new-user benefit, and that any larger figure needs to be visible in the app before you count on it. Our guide to spotting fake crypto bonuses explains how these claims spread.
What works
- New users get a 5 USD sign-up reward usable on any online or in-store card purchase for 30 days.
- RedotPay publishes its card fees in the help center: 10 USD virtual, 100 USD physical, 1% crypto conversion, 1.2% foreign currency.
- The physical card carries no annual fee, so the 100 USD is a one-off cost.
- The referral system pays inviters in USDT, with card order commission credited instantly.
Watch out for
- The 5 USD reward cannot pay the 10 USD virtual or 100 USD physical card issuance fee, so you are still 5 USD down on a virtual card before spending.
- The 5 USD reward expires 30 days after you receive it and cannot be withdrawn or transferred.
- Commission rates per referral level appear only in an in-app table; the help center gives no percentages.
- US citizens, along with people from several sanctioned countries, cannot complete KYC at all.
Use a RedotPay referral or promo code if you already want a crypto card for spending stablecoins abroad or online; the 5 USD reward softens the virtual card fee. Do not treat it as free money. The reward cannot pay for the card, it expires in 30 days, and the real cost of the card is the 1% conversion and 1.2% foreign currency fee on every purchase.
