- 0% to 20% of your trading fees, depending on the split your inviter set. Paid as Spot or Futures Cashback in USDT.
- Referrer reward
- Regular users: 20% of friends' Spot, Margin and Futures fees, shared with the friend as the inviter chooses. Affiliates: up to 65%.
- KYCKnow Your Customer: identity verification with an ID document and often a selfie, required by regulated platforms before bonuses or withdrawals.
- Not required to trade. Unverified accounts can withdraw up to 200,000 USDT per day; campaign rewards usually require KYC.

How to claim it, step by step
- Step 1
Open the XT.com sign-up page with the referral link
The link fills in the invite code automatically. If you type it manually, enter it in the Referral code field before you submit.
- Step 2
Check the split before you confirm
Your cashback share is whatever the inviter configured on that link. It is locked to your account at registration, so a link with 0% for you stays at 0%.
- Step 3
Register in the browser, not through an app installed from an ad
XT notes that installing the app through another channel first can bind a different referrer. Open the referral link, then register.
- Step 4
Deposit and trade Spot, Margin or Futures
Your share of the fee rebate is converted to USDT and credited to the Spot account. Look under Fund History → Distribution for Spot or Futures Cashback.
- Step 5
Join a newcomer campaign if you want futures bonus
Newcomer bonuses are separate events. Click Register Now on the event page, complete KYC and then do the deposit or volume tasks.
Most exchanges give every referred user the same welcome deal and let the code decide only who gets paid. XT.com works differently. An XT.com referral code carries a fee split: the inviter picks how much of the referral commission they keep and how much flows back to you, and that choice is written into your account the moment you register. Two links from two people can therefore be worth very different amounts to you, even though the sign-up page looks identical.
This review explains how that split works, what it is worth at XT’s real fee levels, and how the separate newcomer futures bonuses fit around it. Every number comes from XT’s own help center, and where XT contradicts itself, we say so.
- 20%commission pool on each referred user's fees, split by the inviter
- 0.2%Spot maker and taker fee at VIP 0
- 200,000 USDTdaily withdrawal limit without KYC
- T+1when referral commission reaches the Spot account
How the XT.com referral split works
For regular users, XT sets the referral commission at 20% of the referred user’s trading fees. XT’s announcement on the change says both the referrer and the referred user “can share up to 20%”. In practice, the inviter opens the referral center, sets the ratio between themselves and the friend, and shares that link or code.
XT’s older referral article spells out the mechanics with a worked formula, and the logic still holds with the new 20% pool:
- Rebate pool = your trading fee × 20%
- Inviter’s part = rebate pool × the inviter’s chosen share
- Your cashback = rebate pool × your share
So if you pay 1 USDT in fees and the inviter keeps 70% of the pool, the pool is 0.20 USDT, the inviter gets 0.14 USDT and you get 0.06 USDT back. If the inviter gives you 100%, you get the full 0.20 USDT. Your cashback is what XT calls Spot or Futures CashbackCashback here means part of the trading fee you paid is returned to you as USDT after the trade. It works like a discount, but you pay the full fee first and get the refund later., and it shows up in your Spot account under Fund History → Distribution.
The important rule: changing the split only affects people who register afterwards. If you signed up on a link that gave you 10%, you keep 10% even if the inviter later raises it for others.
What the cashback is worth in real money
XT’s current VIP table puts VIP 0 Spot fees at 0.2% for both makers and takers, or 0.15% if you pay fees with XT tokens. Futures fees at VIP 0 are 0.02% maker and 0.06% taker. Here is what a full 20% share does to a VIP 0 Spot trader paying in USDT:
| Monthly Spot volume | Fees at 0.2% | 20% share back | 10% share back |
|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $2.00 | $0.40 | $0.20 |
| $10,000 | $20.00 | $4.00 | $2.00 |
| $50,000 | $100.00 | $20.00 | $10.00 |
| $200,000 | $400.00 | $80.00 | $40.00 |
At $10,000 a month, the best possible link saves you $48 a year on Spot. That is real but modest, and it shows why the choice of code matters: a 0% link and a 20% link look the same on the sign-up form. If you trade futures as a taker, the same 20% turns 0.06% into an effective 0.048%.
XT also states that deposit fees, withdrawal fees and margin interest are not part of the rebate, and that some tokens have been removed from the rebate policy entirely because of volatility or risk. Trades in those tokens pay full fees with no cashback.
Open Referral PageNewcomer futures bonuses: small, capped and KYC-gated
XT does not run a single permanent welcome package. Instead it launches newcomer events every few weeks, mostly paid in Futures Bonus. A recent newcomer check-in season gives a good picture of the scale:
| Task | Requirement | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| First deposit | 100 USDT or more after enrolling | 10 USDT Futures Bonus, first 100 users only |
| First futures trade | 100 USDT or more in volume | 2 USDT Futures Bonus, first 1,000 users |
| Daily new-user task | 3,000 USDT futures volume in a day | 4 USDT per day, up to 10 times |
| 10-day check-in | 100,000 USDT cumulative volume | 50 USDT Futures Bonus |
To qualify you must complete KYC and click Register Now on the event page; volume before enrolment does not count, and neither does volume traded with a Futures Bonus. Rewards are first come, first served. These numbers change each round, so read the live event page rather than any code site’s summary.
Referral campaigns run alongside these events. In one recent round, a friend who deposited 50 USDT and traded 20,000 USDT earned both sides a token airdrop. The catch, printed in the terms: friends who join through such a campaign link do not generate ongoing commission for the inviter. If you care about the long-term fee split, register through the normal referral link instead.
Futures Bonus rules worth knowing
XT’s Futures Bonus is more restrictive than the trial funds some exchanges offer:
- It can only open isolated-margin USDT-M positions and cannot be combined with your own USDT.
- Each bonus is used once per position and cannot be split.
- A position opened with a bonus closes automatically after 72 hours at most.
- You cannot add to, partially close or set stop orders on bonus positions.
- Bonuses cannot be used for copy trading or to earn fee rebates.
- Unused bonuses are reclaimed when they expire.
Profit after fees lands in your futures account and can be withdrawn. The bonus itself never can. For a beginner-friendly breakdown of why these credits rarely equal cash, see our guide to fake and misleading crypto bonuses.
KYC: optional for most users
XT is one of the more relaxed exchanges on identity checks. Its withdrawal limit guide lists a daily withdrawal limit of 200,000 USDT for unverified accounts, 10,000,000 USDT after KYC and 15,000,000 USDT for verified businesses. The referral cashback itself has no KYC condition. Verification adds fiat transactions and P2P merchant access, and XT says extra checks may apply depending on location or payment channel.
The trade-off is that most bonus campaigns now require KYC before they pay. If you want to keep your account unverified, plan on the cashback and skip the events. Our guide to KYC and crypto bonuses explains the pattern across exchanges.
Who cannot use XT.com
XT’s User Agreement prohibits users located in the United States, Canada, Mainland China, Cuba, North Korea, Singapore, Sudan, Venezuela and Crimea, and says the list is non-exhaustive and can change without notice. XT also restricts access from Singapore IP addresses. Some referral campaigns go further and exclude users from Bangladesh, Pakistan, India and Nigeria, even though those countries can use the exchange itself. Market makers, institutions and sub-accounts are excluded from most newcomer events.
Is an XT.com referral code worth it?
| Your profile | Best use of a code | Our take |
|---|---|---|
| Altcoin Spot trader | Link with a 20% share for you | Worth it, effective fee 0.16% |
| Futures trader | Same link plus newcomer events | Fine, but bonuses are small |
| Privacy-minded user | Cashback without KYC | One of XT’s real strengths |
| Low-fee hunter | Compare first | MEXC and BitMart may cost less |
An XT.com referral code is worth exactly what the inviter chose to share, which makes it unusual among exchange referral programs. Before you register, ask for the split, or pick a link that states it. If you want the underlying maths for any exchange, our explainer on how referral kickbacks work walks through it step by step.
What works
- Your fee cashback can reach the full 20% commission pool if the inviter chooses to give it all to you.
- Cashback is paid in USDT to the Spot account and covers Spot, Margin and Futures fees.
- Unverified accounts can withdraw up to 200,000 USDT per day, so KYC is optional for most users.
- XT publishes a worked rebate formula and its full VIP fee table in the help center.
Watch out for
- The split is chosen by the inviter and frozen at sign-up, so many codes give the invitee little or nothing.
- XT's own help center still carries an older article describing a 40% rebate, which no longer applies to regular users.
- The standard Spot fee is 0.2% maker and taker at VIP 0, double what many large exchanges charge.
- Newcomer futures bonuses are small, capped in number and limited to users who complete KYC and enrol on the event page.
Use an XT.com referral code if you will actually trade there, but only one that shows a meaningful cashback share for you, ideally the full 20%. That turns a 0.2% Spot fee into an effective 0.16%. The newcomer futures bonuses are a small extra, not the reason to sign up.
