- Sign-up bonus
- None available. New registrations are suspended, so no welcome reward can be earned, whatever a banner or code site says.
- Fee discount (kickback)A kickback is the share of your own trading fees the platform hands back to you, usually for as long as the account exists.
- None. BitMart never published a fixed invitee discount, and trading services are discontinued.
- Referrer reward
- The referral page still lists 20–30% futures and 10–20% spot commission, but trading has stopped, so nothing new accrues.
- KYCKnow Your Customer: identity verification with an ID document and often a selfie, required by regulated platforms before bonuses or withdrawals.
- BitMart asks existing users to complete or update identity verification so withdrawal requests can be reviewed.
- Withdrawable?
- Withdrawals are subject to manual review and a proposed restructuring plan; balances may be converted to US-dollar claims.
- Availability
- Unavailable everywhere for new users. US registrations had already been closed for years; BitMart U.S. is a separate platform.
- How the bonus unlocksWhat you must do (deposit, trade a volume, hold funds) before the bonus becomes usable or withdrawable.
- Not possible. Registrations, deposits, new orders and then all spot and futures trading were suspended.
How to claim it, step by step
- Step 1
Check BitMart's official announcements first
Before acting on any BitMart code or bonus, read the latest notices in BitMart's own help center. Registrations and deposits are suspended.
- Step 2
Do not deposit into a BitMart account
BitMart warned that deposits sent after the suspension may not be credited automatically. Ignore any page that asks you to fund an account to claim a bonus.
- Step 3
If you already hold an account, update your KYC
BitMart asks existing users to complete identity verification and keep security settings current, because withdrawals go through manual compliance review.
- Step 4
Download your records
Save your balances, deposit history, withdrawal history and trade history. They support any claim under the proposed restructuring plan.
- Step 5
Use only the official feedback portal
BitMart routes questions about withdrawals and the plan through its official portal at bitmart.com/portal and warns against any other asset recovery link.
If you landed here looking for a BitMart referral code, the short answer is that none of them can do anything at the moment. BitMart announced an orderly wind-down of its trading platform, stopped accepting new registrations and deposits the same day, and ended all spot and futures trading a month later. Its own help center now reads like a restructuring file, with financial advisers, a user feedback portal and a proposal for paying out balances.
What makes this confusing is that BitMart’s marketing pages never came down. The referral page still promises up to 30% commission, and the Rewards Hub still advertises “up to 14,000 USDT”. Code sites copy those numbers without checking whether anyone can sign up. This page explains what actually happened, what the old program paid, and what to do instead.
- 0new accounts BitMart accepts while the wind-down runs
- 1 monthbetween the registration freeze and the end of all trading
- $319.5Mearlier hack loss BitMart cites as the source of its deficit
- 3payout options in BitMart's proposed restructuring plan
Can you use a BitMart referral code today?
No. A referral code only works at the moment an account is created, and BitMart is not creating accounts. Here is the sequence BitMart published in its wind-down notice:
| Stage | What BitMart switched off |
|---|---|
| Day of the notice | New registrations and all crypto and fiat deposits, gradually |
| Same day | New spot orders; futures moved to reduce-only; copy, grid and API trading wound down |
| About one month later | All spot, futures and other trading services |
| Following months | Earn, staking, lending and Launchpad, product by product |
| Planned end date | Official cessation of trading platform operations, with log-in kept for withdrawals |
Since then BitMart has said it is developing a restructuring plan “as an alternative to a full wind-down”, which may include a phased resumption of some operations. Until BitMart announces that registrations are open again, any page offering a working BitMart sign-up bonus is out of date. Our guide on spotting fake crypto bonuses covers this pattern: the offer outlives the platform.
What happened to BitMart
BitMart’s own account, published in its roadmap announcement, lists four causes. A weaker crypto market cut fee income. Wash-trading groups exploited rebate and zero-slippage incentives in the futures business, which pushed it into losses. A major hack several years earlier had drained about US$319.5 million in digital assets and left a balance-sheet deficit that strong market years had papered over. Finally, a wave of social media attacks set off panic withdrawals.
BitMart then appointed Alvarez & Marsal as financial adviser and White & Case as restructuring counsel, and opened a single user feedback portal. It also considered and rejected an outside offer of a US$10 million liquidity injection as “manifestly insufficient”.
There is an uncomfortable link to referral marketing here. Rebate incentives, the same family of features that referral codes advertise, were part of what wash traders farmed. When a platform pays unusually generous kickbacks, it is worth asking who else is collecting them.
What the BitMart referral program paid before the shutdown
The referral page is still published, and its tables show what inviters were offered. The invited user’s side was never spelled out: the terms only mention, in passing, that self-referral would cancel “the invited accounts’ fee rebates”, without ever giving a rate.
| Product | Direct commission for the inviter | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Futures | 20% (1–9 friends), 25% (10–49), 30% (50+) | Permanent |
| Spot | 10% (1–5 friends), 15% (6–20), 20% (21+) | 1 year per friend |
| Earn | 5% (1–9), 8% (10–49), 10% (50+) of friends’ interest | 1 year per friend |
| BitMart Card | 0.1% to 0.4% of friends’ card spending | Permanent |
The page title still claims “up to 40% two-tier commission”, while the tables top out at 30% direct. The separate Affiliate Program for creators described its commission as valid for life, with commission paid in the same asset the fees were paid in. None of it pays anything now, because no trades are being made.
The invitee side was always the weak spot. BitMart never published a fixed fee discount for people who signed up with a code, and the referral terms said a “Referral Task” was “being upgraded”. Compare that with exchanges that state the invitee share openly, such as MEXC or Gate.
The 14,000 USDT welcome banner
BitMart’s Rewards Hub still headlines “Earn up to $14,000” for new users, and many code sites repeat it. Even when BitMart was operating, the task list behind that figure was shown only to logged-in users, and BitMart never published how much of it was withdrawable cash rather than vouchers. Today the figure has no value at all, since new users cannot register.
If you already have a BitMart account
The referral question is moot for existing users, but the account itself matters. BitMart asked users to do the following, and the list is worth following even if you hold only a small balance:
- Log in through the official website or app and review your balances.
- Complete or update identity verification, since withdrawals pass through compliance review.
- Cancel open orders and close any remaining positions, and redeem Earn or staking products where possible.
- Download balances, deposit history, withdrawal history and trade history, and keep them safe.
- Submit one withdrawal request at a time and avoid duplicates, which slow processing.
Withdrawal reviews can include checks of identity, devices, IP addresses, withdrawal addresses and source of funds. BitMart says requests are processed in order of submission once those checks are complete.
The proposed restructuring plan in plain words
BitMart’s initial indicative proposal, which it describes as subject to a court-sanctioned process, would convert each user’s balance into a dollarised account balance. The dollar value would be based on the weighted average price of the user’s tokens from the wind-down date to a later record time. Each user would then choose one or a mix of three options:
| Option | What you would receive | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|
| Upfront distribution | A pro rata payout from BitMart’s liquid assets, such as fiat, stablecoins, BTC, ETH and SOL | Users who want to exit now |
| Restitution Token | A token backed by recoveries from BitMart’s pursuit of the hacked funds | Users willing to wait on uncertain recoveries |
| Continuum Token | A DEX-tradable token backed by BitMart’s investments, illiquid assets and possible future profits | Users betting on a long recovery or a restart |
This is a proposal, not a final settlement. BitMart said it would consult its largest users first and publish detailed documents later. For anything about your own balance, rely on BitMart’s help center and its official feedback portal only.
Scams to watch for
Wind-downs attract fake recovery services. BitMart states that its feedback portal is the only official channel for comments on the plan, that verification emails come only from its Zendesk support address, and that it will never ask for passwords, 2FA codes, private keys or seed phrases. Treat any “BitMart claims”, “asset recovery” or “priority withdrawal” offer outside those channels as a scam, and never pay a fee to speed up a withdrawal.
Where to look instead
If you came here wanting a working sign-up offer, choose an exchange that is operating normally and publishes its referral terms. Our exchange referral reviews compare the current programs, and KuCoin’s referral terms or LBank’s are reasonable starting points for altcoin-heavy traders. Whatever you pick, read our guide on how to use a referral code first, so the code is attached before the account exists, and check that the exchange is still accepting users before you deposit.
What works
- BitMart published a dated timeline for the suspension of registrations, deposits and trading in its help center.
- The proposed plan lets users choose between an upfront pro rata distribution and longer-term recovery tokens.
- BitMart appointed outside financial and legal advisers and opened a single official channel for user feedback.
Watch out for
- No new account can be opened, so every BitMart referral code is currently useless.
- The referral page and the 14,000 USDT welcome banner remain online even though the platform is not accepting users.
- Withdrawals are subject to manual review, and remaining balances may be converted into US-dollar claims under the plan.
- All spot and futures trading has stopped, so no referral commission or invitee benefit can accrue.
Do not look for a BitMart referral code right now: registrations, deposits and trading are suspended, and any site still promising a BitMart welcome bonus is out of date. If you need an exchange with a working sign-up offer, pick one that is operating normally. If you already have a BitMart account, focus on verification, records and the official restructuring updates.
