Bitrue built its name as the exchange for XRP holders, and its referral program still feels like a side door into that ecosystem. A Bitrue referral code does one permanent thing: it ties your account to the person who invited you, who then earns a share of every fee you pay. Everything you personally receive as a new user comes from somewhere else, mainly the Rewards Center and whatever referral campaign happens to be live.

That split matters because the two halves are often sold as one. Code pages talk about “up to 1,000 USDT” or even bigger numbers, yet Bitrue’s own help center describes a far more modest core: a 30 USDT Spot Bonus, a handful of Newcomer tasks and futures trial funds. This review lines up what Bitrue actually publishes, what it leaves out and what the bonuses are worth in practice.

What a Bitrue referral code actually does

When someone signs up with your code, Bitrue records them as your referee. Under the current rules, every regular referrer earns a fixed 25% of the trading fees their referees generate on Spot and Futures. Bitrue cut this from 40% to 25% for all existing referral relationships in one announcement, which tells you the rate is a policy setting, not a promise.

Before that change, a referrer could hand part of the commission back to you. Now only affiliates (influencers and communities on the separate affiliate program, with commission of up to 65%) keep that setting.

So the honest answer to “what discount does a Bitrue invite code give?” is zero for most codes, and an unpublished amount for affiliate codes. If a code page promises 20% off Bitrue fees, ask whose code it is and where that figure comes from.

The welcome rewards come from the Rewards Center

Bitrue’s new-user value sits in the Rewards Center under Newcomer Benefits. The tasks have to be completed within 7 days of registration, and Bitrue spells out what counts:

• First deposit: the coins must arrive in the Spot account, internal transfers do not count, and the deposited token must be priced above 1 USDT.
• First Spot trade: any qualifying trade except USDC/USDT, which is excluded.
• First Futures trade: the position has to stay open at least one hour, with a net transfer of more than 10 USDT into futures.

Bitrue also asks users to finish KYC Level 2 before completing these tasks. Skip that and a finished task may not pay.

The one reward Bitrue prices clearly is the Spot Bonus: new users who make a first deposit of at least 100 USDT can receive a 30 USDT Spot Bonus. Beyond that, the totals move around. Help center posts mention “up to 1,000 USDT” in the Rewards Center and a “2,018 USDT” new-user package, and the invite landing page quotes rewards “worth up to 6,752 USDT”. None of these pages list the full task-by-task breakdown, and most of the value consists of futures trial funds that you can never withdraw. That is why the transparency score on this page sits well below average.

How the 30 USDT Spot Bonus works in real money

The Spot Bonus is the friendliest part of the package because Bitrue carries the risk. You activate it by ticking the Spot Bonus box on a buy order for BTC/USDT, XRP/USDT, ETH/USDT or XLM/USDT. It has to be activated within 5 days of receipt and stays valid for 5 days after that. When it ends, profit goes to your Spot account in USDT and losses are covered by Bitrue.

In a normal week, the realistic value of this bonus is a few dollars of upside with no downside. That is a fair deal for a 100 USDT deposit you were going to make anyway, but it is not 30 USDT of free money. The bonus itself cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and it is not even counted in your total assets until settlement.

Futures trial funds: two kinds, different rules

Most of the larger numbers in Bitrue promotions are paid as trial funds for USDT-margined futures. Bitrue runs two versions:

Regular Futures Trial Funds let you open cross-margin positions without moving your own money into futures. Maximum leverage on trial fund positions is 25x. When the fund is reclaimed, it first offsets losses, fees and funding, and any profit after settlement is yours to withdraw. Redeeming requires KYC Level 2.

Enhanced Futures Trial Funds must be combined with your own USDT at a fixed ratio. With a 1:1 ratio, 100 USDT of your money plus 100 USDT of trial fund gives 200 USDT of margin, and losses are split proportionally between you and Bitrue. These funds cannot be used alone, cannot be withdrawn, and only redeem in full if you hold enough real funds at the moment of redemption. Anything you cannot cover is forfeited.

Bitrue fees and what your referrer earns

Bitrue’s published Spot fee is 0.098% on BTC, ETH and USDT pairs. XRP pairs cost more: 0.196% on XRP/BTC, XRP/USDT and XRP/ETH, and 0.280% on other XRP pairs. Paying fees in BTR, Bitrue’s own token, takes 20% off. Futures fees are 0.02% for makers and 0.06% for takers on the pairs Bitrue lists in its trading fee schedule. The table shows the plain economics. With a regular code, the referral relationship costs you nothing and saves you nothing. Your fees are the same as for anyone who signed up without a code. The value for you lies only in the campaign rewards that require a referral link.

Referral campaigns: when the code pays extra

Bitrue runs short referral campaigns several times a year, and these are where a code can be worth more. Recent rounds paid referrers 6 to 15 USDT in cash plus a 15 USDT futures trial fund when an invitee deposited at least 30 USDT and traded 100 USDT on Spot or 500 USDT on Futures. Invitees who hit the same thresholds received a share of a fixed prize pool.

These campaigns share some fine print worth knowing:

• Rewards are first come, first served and stop when the pool runs out.
• Affiliates, KOLs and Partner Program users are usually excluded.
• Self-referrals, shared IP addresses and wash trading disqualify both sides.
• Users in unsupported regions are not eligible, and Bitrue does not always name the regions on the campaign page.

Because each round has its own dates and thresholds, check the live campaign page in the app before you rely on any specific amount.

KYC rules and regional restrictions

There is no meaningful no-KYC route on Bitrue. KYC Level 1, which combines an ID scan with a face check, is what unlocks deposits, withdrawals, Spot and Futures trading and fiat purchases. Level 1 users can withdraw up to 2 BTC per transaction, and Level 2 raises that to 500 BTC. Bitrue’s Terms of Use exclude users in the United States, Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong, India and Singapore, and Bitrue does not accept registrations from anyone resident in the European Economic Area under its MiCA obligations. OFAC-sanctioned countries such as Iran, North Korea, Russia, Cuba and Syria are also excluded. Bitrue calls the list non-exhaustive (“such as”), so check the current Terms of Use for your country before you deposit, and expect individual campaigns to exclude further regions.
