Search for a 3Commas promo code and you will find pages promising 40% off for life, 50% off Pro, or a “free forever” hack. The official picture is plainer. 3Commas documents one discount for newcomers: register through someone’s referral link and you get 10% off when you activate a monthly subscription. Everything else is either a time-limited campaign code, a personal migration code for old subscribers, or marketing copy from sites that earn on your sign-up.

That does not make a code pointless. It just means you should know what it is worth in dollars before you build your bot setup around it, and you should compare it with the saving 3Commas already gives everyone who pays yearly. This review does both, using only the prices and terms 3Commas publishes on its own pages.

What a 3Commas promo code actually is

The phrase covers three separate mechanisms, and mixing them up is the main reason people end up disappointed at checkout.

The Terms of Referral define both a “Referral Link” and a “Promo Code” as items generated personally for each referrer. So when a site hands you a short code and calls it a 3Commas promo code, it is usually the site owner’s referral code. You get the referral discount; they get a share of your payments.

3Commas pricing: the numbers a code works against

3Commas lists three paid plans. The pricing page shows two prices for each: a monthly rate and a lower per-month rate when you pay for a year up front.

Payment is possible by card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and crypto. Only card payments renew automatically; crypto payments have to be renewed by hand.

Worked example: referral discount vs annual billing

Here is what the documented 10% referral discount does on the Pro plan, compared with simply choosing yearly billing.

The referral discount is worth $5 a month on Pro, or $60 over a year if it keeps applying to every monthly renewal. The 3Commas FAQ describes the discount as applying “when they activate a monthly subscription” and does not say whether it repeats, so treat $60 as the best case. Annual billing saves more than twice as much and needs no code at all.

That leads to a simple rule. If you are still testing whether bots suit you, a monthly plan with the referral discount keeps your risk small. Once you know you will keep the bots running, annual billing is the bigger lever, and no third-party code we could verify beats it.

The 3Commas referral program: what the person sharing the code earns

This is the part most code pages hide, and it explains why so many of them exist. The Terms of Referral describe a three-level multi-level referralA multi-level referral system pays the referrer not only for people they invite directly but also for the people those friends invite, usually at lower rates. structure for individual referrers:

• Level 1, people you invite directly: 25% of their net subscription payment
• Level 2, people your referrals invite: 15%
• Level 3, the next layer down: 10%

The base is the net amount without VAT, and only successful crypto payments that are not later refunded or reversed count. Individual referrers earn nothing when a referral pays by card or PayPal; fiat payments only qualify for business referrers who have a separate agreement with an individually agreed rate. Commission is credited every month in proportion to the subscription, so a referral who buys a year of Pro does not trigger one lump sum.

Put in numbers: if you buy a year of Pro with crypto at $456, the person whose code you used earns about $114 over that year at the 25% rate. Can you withdraw 3Commas referral commission?

Yes, for the referrer. The Terms of Referral give two choices: move the balance to your client account and spend it on 3Commas subscriptions, or withdraw it to an external wallet, subject to limits shown in the app such as a minimum amount. The Terms name USDC as the payout currency. The older FAQ still mentions USDT on TRC20 or ERC20 and a $50 minimum, so check the withdrawal screen for the current asset and threshold.

For you as the new user, nothing is withdrawable. The 10% discount simply lowers the price of your plan. If you later refund a subscription paid with referral credit, the same refund rules apply as to any other payment.

3Commas v2 and why old codes may not work

3Commas has retired its original platform, known as v1, and moved to a rebuilt v2 made in partnership with WunderTrading. According to the v2 help article, v1 bots and API connections were switched off, strategies do not migrate automatically and v2 requires a new account.

For promo code hunters this changes three things:

1. Migration codes are personal. Former subscribers received an emailed code that carries their remaining v1 days plus bonus time into v2. Inactive v1 users were offered a 30-day Pro subscription the same way. These codes are tied to the original account owner and are useless to anyone else.
2. Redeeming a migration code ends the refund claim. Annual v1 subscribers could request a refund for unused time instead, but activating the v2 code replaces that right.
3. Old referral links are a gamble. Because v2 needs a fresh account, the help center does not promise that v1 referral relationships continue. Use a link you obtained recently and check the subscription page for the discount before paying.

Free trial, free plan and refunds

Every new 3Commas account starts with a free, time-limited trial of the Pro plan. The v2 help article mentions a 7-day trial. When it ends, the account moves to the free tier unless you buy a plan, and bots that exceed the free limits are disabled. Plan for that: a disabled bot can close its positions, so do not leave a live grid running on trial limits you have not paid for.

The refund policy gives consumers 15 days from the first subscription, including the trial, to withdraw and get their money back. Second and later purchases of the same plan get only a 24-hour grace period. Card and PayPal payments are refunded by Paddle, the payment processor; crypto payments are refunded in USDC.

Do you need identity verification?

No ID upload is required to open a 3Commas account, connect an exchange through API keys or buy a subscription. 3Commas never holds your funds; they stay on your own exchange account, which has its own KYC rules. The Terms of Referral only mention an AML/KYC verification step “if applicable” for people who want to earn referral commission. Users in sanctioned countries are excluded, and 3Commas reserves the right to refuse service in other regions.

Is a 3Commas promo code worth it for you?

The honest summary: a 3Commas code is a small discount on the most expensive way to pay. It is worth using if you were going to pay monthly anyway, and it costs you nothing to open the link before registering. Just keep the bigger numbers in view: billing period, plan size and whether you actually need futures and dozens of bots.
